Description:
Computer discrete mathematics is a mandatory basic discipline of professional training in the IT-study programmes and is the basis for other courses. Topics of computer discrete mathematics are used in all branches of computer science. The course comprises the following topics: set-theory, Boolean algebra, simple methods of mathematical argumentation, propositional/algebraic logic, basic concepts of graph theory, basics of combinatorics. The purpose of the course is the acquisition of skills in the natural use of formal methods and models of discrete mathematics for processing discrete information. Furthermore the familiarization with a wide range of methods of discrete mathematics as well as understanding the problems that arise when building algorithms and software.

Є обов'язковою базовою дисципліною професійної підготовки за спеціальністю є основа вивчення інших курсів. Теми комп'ютерної дискретної математики використовують у всіх галузях інформатики. В курсі вивчаються такі теми: множини, булева алгебра, прості методи доказу, логіка висловлювань, основні поняття теорії графів, основи комбінаторики. Мета курсу: здобуття навичок природного використання формальних методів та моделей дискретної математики щодо обробки дискретної інформації; ознайомлення із широким спектром методів дискретної математики; розуміння проблем, що виникають при побудові алгоритмів та програмного забезпечення.
