This course provides an introduction to probability and statistics with applications.
Students completing this course will be able to:
- create scatter plots and histograms and make interpretations;
- do the Bayesian updating with discrete priors to get posterior distributions;
- understand the difference between probability and likelihood functions;
- construct basic estimates and predictions;
- estimate confidence intervals for regression outcome;
- compute and interpret linear regression between two variables;
