Visits of Ukrainian educators to Wildau

9 Ukrainian lecturers were invited to visit the Technical University of Applied Sciences Wildau in November-December 2022. During the visit, they had a great opportunity to attend workshops that focused on innovative digital resources and online exam software. In addition, a discussion of scientific exchange issues with THWi educators and scientists was organized.

As part of the Wildau Kharkiv IT Bridge project, a virtual reality environment was proposed to provide students with the opportunity to continue their education and perform practical work in a virtual laboratory with equipment, despite the challenges posed by wartime conditions. This virtual environment, specifically an application, was created for the microelectronics and nanotechnology course. The development of this application was supported by the HyPhoX startup, which provided technical assistance in the form of their new device, which serves as the basis for the practical work conducted within the virtual application.

The development of the technical requirements and the implementation of the project involved lecturers from Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics (KNURE), who visited the Federal Republic of Germany in the autumn (07.10.2024 - 25.10.2024) to collaborate with the Technical University of Applied Sciences Wildau. The lecturers involved were Oksana Babychenko, Svitlana Ponomarova, and Nadiia Kalaida.

During their stay at TH Wildau, numerous brainstorming and working meetings were held, including discussions with the HyPhoX startup. This in-person, offline meeting provided the opportunity to visit the HyPhoX laboratory, explore the technical details of their equipment directly from the startup’s founders, and thoroughly collect and process the necessary information for developing the technical requirements and algorithm for the application.
